Customization & Compatibility
Two shape options are available: Round and Disc. The Round version creates a softer and fuller suspended silhouette, while the Disc version introduces a flatter and more architectural profile for interiors that favour cleaner horizontal proportions.
Both shapes are available in Ø40 cm (15.75") and Ø50 cm (19.69") diameter options, allowing the pendant to be selected according to the scale of the room and preferred visual presence.
Each pendant is supplied with a 150 cm (59.06") adjustable black suspension cord. The drop can be shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height, furniture position, and preferred hanging arrangement.
A black metal ceiling rose is included, creating a clean and understated ceiling connection that contrasts naturally with the softer fabric shade.
Dimming is supported. If assistance is required with a compatible dimmable light source, wall dimmer, or electrical configuration, please contact Lubrel Support.
This pendant is available for hardwired installation only and requires a fixed ceiling electrical connection. Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical and ceiling-mounting requirements.
Minor variations in fabric texture, drape, surface appearance, and shape may occur and contribute to the soft, organic character of the fitting.
Product Overview
The Japandi Silk-Effect Fabric Pendant Light combines a softly suspended textile form with restrained proportions, creating a pendant that feels light, calm, and atmospheric rather than visually heavy.
The fabric shade introduces gentle texture and helps soften the overall lighting effect, making the fitting particularly suitable for bedrooms, dining rooms, living spaces, foyers, and hospitality interiors shaped around Japandi, minimalist, and quietly contemporary design.
Available in Round or Disc forms and two diameters, the pendant can be selected for a softer organic presence or a flatter architectural look while maintaining the same understated material character.
Key Features
- Silk-effect fabric shade: The soft textile surface creates an airy visual character and helps produce a gentler ambient lighting effect.
- Round or Disc shapes: Choose a fuller rounded silhouette or a flatter disc profile to suit different interior compositions.
- Two diameter options: Available in Ø40 cm and Ø50 cm for more compact settings or a broader decorative presence.
- Adjustable black suspension: The supplied 150 cm suspension cord can be shortened during installation to suit different ceiling heights and room layouts.
- Dimmable lighting: Supports dimming when paired with compatible lighting components and a suitable wall dimmer.
Design & Materials
The silk-effect fabric gives the pendant a softer and more atmospheric appearance than conventional glass or metal lighting. Its lightly textured surface creates visual movement while maintaining a restrained overall profile.
The Round version offers a fuller, more organic silhouette suited to softer room compositions, while the Disc version creates a wider and flatter visual line that works naturally above dining tables and open living areas.
The black suspension cord and matching black metal ceiling rose create a clean upper structure, allowing the lighter fabric shade to remain the main visual feature.
The Ø40 cm version works well in bedrooms, reading corners, smaller dining areas, and compact living spaces. The Ø50 cm version creates greater visual presence above dining tables, lounges, foyers, and hospitality interiors.
Its combination of soft fabric texture, restrained geometry, adjustable suspension, and dimming support makes the pendant particularly suitable for Japandi, minimalist, Wabi-Sabi-inspired, and softly contemporary interiors.

These are the most beautiful lights. I have been looking for the perfect retro style lights for years, and finally found these ones. They are perfect and absolutely beautiful. The soft curves of the glass are so elegant, and the warm white bulbs give a beautiful glow in the lounge room.
Really happy with this purchase, it gives a lovely soft diffused light. I had been looking for a linen shade initially however couldn’t find one that didn’t show the globe within. I also worried that the paper would be so fragile it might break/ tear with handling but it’s more durable than I expected. Very happy.
I just love these gorgeous light fittings, better than the photos
They’re very beautiful, larger than what I was hoping for though. We ended up using them above the bed as they weren’t suitable for the stairwell
The light was perfect. Beautiful colour, beautiful style. Loved it so much
I needed to return my light. The response from Lubrel was immediate, polite & generous. Thank you for your service. Highly recommend this company.
What a beautiful shade, we were expecting something special but this was really exceptional. The quality and finish is amazing!
Absolutey love this light. Fantastic quality and looks amazing installed. Gives out a beautiful warm medium level light which is perfect for our bedroom. Service was phenonomenal. I had a query regarding delivery progress and response was super fast. Also advised by Lubrel that delivery was attempted but courier did not notify of attempt. Without message from Lubrel, we would not have known to collect. Lubrel provided the location of collection and screenshots of delivery attempt. I would order from them again in a heartbeat!! Cannot recommend highly enough!!!
The light was exactly as described. It was well packed and arrived in perfect condition. I bought a selection of colors and shapes to be hung in a high central void area in our new home. Very satisfied with the quality and design.
I love these lights!! They look amazing in my kitchen and put pretty patterns on the roof
Love it! Gives our dining area a casual and warm feel.
Really happy with this pendant light. It looks beautiful above our dining table and gives off a warm, cozy glow in the evening. Shipping was fast, and thanks to Kiki from customer support for being so helpful. Very pleased with it.
I liked this online, but it’s even better in real life. We bought 3 of the 50cm and they’ve made such a difference once installed. The woven texture is beautiful, and when the lights are on they give off a really warm, soft glow. They feel well made, look great together, and add so much more atmosphere than our old pendants.
order took longer then expected and product consistency was lacking, i emailed late on a friday night as that’s when i unboxed our lights and within 20 minutes was met with amazing customer service and 2 new lights express shipped will definitely be using lubrel in future renovations their customer service is unmatched
We went with clear glass and matte black for the bedroom, and the light it gives off in the evenings is exactly what we were after. Warm and soft, but not too yellow or too dim.
